The Council , a non-profit 501-C-3, began in 1958, to provide education and treatment services, to individuals afflicted with alcohol problems, and their families.
With the escalation of drug abuse, these services were expanded to include treatment for chemical dependency.

The Council offers the following services:
 
Intensive Residential Treatment (adult males) @ Unity Treatment Center (formerly DAARC)
Right Choice Outpatient of Beaumont -------------------adults
Right Choice of Orange County (Pinehurst)-------------adults
Right Choice of Mid and South Jefferson County-------adults
and
Harbor Prevention Program provides services in our school system, to our at-risk-youth.
